The focus was on a new beginning for 2008. The scripture that the ladies were directed to was II Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Sis. Yvonne spoke about the importance of the Holy Ghost and how it can help them to overcome the obsticles in life. She then lead them in singing “Because He lives”. There were many tears and outpouring of emotions from most of the ladies.
There were about 20 ladies in each service, east and west. All were given bibles with our church information affixed to the inside of the front cover.

Praise the Lord!
Sis. Yvonne & Sis. Renee are so thankful to the Lord for the direction He is taking the Prison Ministry. Today Sis. Yvonne was able to share a prayer wheel with the ladies. This explains in detail and with scripture twelve different dimensions in prayer. This is so necassary because so many of the women have never learned how to pray.
The Lord dealt with Sis. Renee about putting our faith in action. She was able to explain how faith is meant to be an action in our lives. We need faith to accept forgiveness for our sins. We need the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the wicked when the enemy comes against us. The ladies exercised their faith by raising their hands and worshiping the Lord in prayer and song.
There was a stong spirit of the Lord that was evident with the tears that were shed. Thank you, Jesus!

Please remember Ruby in your prayers. She is a sweet young girl who is currently incarcerated and expecting a baby. She asked for prayer specifically because she is facing a judge this week. She needs the Lord to guide the situation especially because she is expecting.
Sis. Yvonne and Sis. Renee only have one hour to minister, sing some songs and have prayer for a group of about 20 ladies .They don’t have much time to minister one on one with them. However, on occasion some of the ladies ask them for prayer on specific needs. We will pass them on to all of you faithful prayer partners.
Thank you and God Bless.
